Slips and Trips at Work

Depending on what type of job you have, specific types of work related accidents can be more common than others.  If you work in an office, for instance, you would not likely suffer from a burn or develop breathing problems like those who work with hazardous substances.  Work accidents happen all the time but it is the job of each employer to do what they can to lower this risk. It is a known fact that many accidents are often traced back to being the negligence of the employer 

In the UK today, almost one third of  the accidents that happen at work are those in the area known as slips and trips. These usually take place in contaminated or wet conditions and often blamed on poor housekeeping.  This includes substances left on the floor, obstructions as well as poor flooring being known causes.
