Finding Out if There is a Warrant Out For Your Arrest

This shouldn’t be a hard question. Most people know whether or not they have done something that might cause a warrant to be taken out on them. However, there may be some circumstances that could cause this to become a gray area for some. For example, a person may believe they have missed a court date but cannot be quite sure because they have lost the paper work, or so much time has passed that they have forgotten. This is also true in the case of a dead beat dad who hasn’t paid his child support in quite awhile. He may be sure he must have a warrant by now, but without knowing for certain, he won’t know, either way. One of the things a person can do is to walk right up to a local police officer and ask him/her to run a check. This sounds so simple, and it actually is simple, however, there can be undesirable consequences such as being arrested if there is in fact a warrant!

With that in mind it may be a better idea to try a different method, unless of course getting arrested on the spot sounds appealing to you. Of course if there is a warrant out for your arrest, chances are you will have to deal with it at some point in time. Another method that people often use in order to see if they have a warrant out for their arrest is to use some sort of online service to perform a self check. These online services can be found all over the internet and have a variety of different price tags associated with a variety of different services. Then there are also local police departments that have websites. For example, someone living in Louisville, Kentucky may want to do an online search of the Louisville co police records. Once you have performed a check and are reasonably certain that there is a warrant out for your arrest, you may want to turn yourself into the local authorities to sort out whatever issue you have.
